Tighten Up Goes Deluxe (again)……

Trojan Records is doing yet another release of a previously released deluxe edition with more songs that have appeared elsewhere.

The deluxe 2CD edition of ‘Tighten Up, Volume 1’ sees issue on August 11th. The LP launched the legendary series that became a key factor in Trojan’s early success, running for just over four years, during which time eight volumes in total saw issue.

The seminal first album finally receives its due respect with this deluxe 2 CD version, which augments the original dozen tracks with their respective ‘B’ sides, plus a further 24 recordings released by the company during this exciting period in the history of Trojan Records – and Jamaican music as a whole.

I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
