The latest issue of the superb Wax Poetics Magazine features a piece on Leroy Sibbles and his enormous contribution to reggae music co-written by The Lions’ Dan Ubick and Blake Colie.
The Lions closely worked with Sibbles of course having backed him at the Dub Club and having him as a special guest on their soon to be released new album. So I’m sure the piece is both insightful and a heartfelt tribute to the man’s long career.
The issue also talks about Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music and William Hart, front man of the beloved Delfonics.
Below are some videos from The Heptones with Leroy Sibbles performing at the Dub Club with the Lions as backing band.
