Pama International – Love Filled Dub Band
Although Love Filled Dub Band was issued in 2008 it hasn’t appeared in digital format until now. Featuring Lynval Golding & Sir Horace Panter (The Specials), Michie One and legendary Jamaican trombonist Rico Rodriguez MBE, it was the bands first release after leaving Trojan Records, where they’d become the first band in 30 years to sign to the illustrious label. Produced by John Collins (Ghost Town) and Sean Flowerdew, 60s Soul, 70s Reggae & 21st century commentary is the order of the day.

Pama International meet Groove Corp – Dub Store Special
Pama Intls 2005 Dub Store Special ep was produced by the mighty Groove Corporation (who have previously mixed Sly & Robbie, Dillinger, Bim Sherman, Thievery Corporation, Overproof Sound System and Bob Marley) after an introduction by dub legend Adrian Sherwood. Bone shaking dubs vs. soul-fuelled ska & reggae, all built on beautifully crafted songs, featuring Lynval Golding (The Specials), Lee Thompson (Madness) alongside members from Style Council, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Pop Will Eat Itself and more.

Intensified – Lunar City Groove
Inspired by the authentic sounds of 1960’s Jamaica, the bands goodtime feel has taken them around the globe. Playing alongside ska and reggae legends; Prince Buster, Jimmy Cliff, Laurel Aitken, Desmond Dekker, Dennis Brown, Phylis Dillon, The Skatalites, Rico Rodriguez, Dennis Alcapone, Alton Ellis, Pat Kelly, Dave Barker and contemporaries; Jools Holland, Morgan Heritage, Hepcat, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and Pama Intl.

The Sidewalk Doctors – Music Is Medicine
This is The Sidewalk Doctors debut album. Nine tracks of truly authentic rocksteady sounds exquisitely delivered by Lenny Bignell (whos has previously worked with Pama International and Acid Jazz soul-stars Lord Large) and lead singer Nathan Thomas. The album features guest appearances from Steven Large (Lord Large), Sean Flowerdew (Pama Intl) and Dread MacDready (African Headcharge, Gregory Isaacs).

The Caroloregians – Fat Is Back
Introducing the deep fried funk-dipped reggae sounds of The Caroloregians. Fronted by the New Orleans soul stylings of Matt Hardison and backed by a boss rhythm section, in one almighty soundclash of funkified reggae.

Drawing inspiration from musical cousins The Meters & The Upsetters, The Caroloregians burst onto the European scene 4 years ago with dramatic effect. They soon became the choice backing band for touring Jamaican legends: Ken Boothe, Alton Ellis, The Pioneers, Rico Rodriguez MBE, Pat Kelly, Doreen Shaffer and most recently superbly backed Dave & Ansel Collins on their first show since the 1970’s at The London Intl Ska Festival. It is, however, with their own electrifying show & songs where The Caroloregians truly excel.

I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
