Revivers SF Release Party w/ Tommy Rocka Shocka & Impalers
I think the flyer pretty mush says it all doesn’t it. Every artist on this bill is amazing.
Tommy Rocka Shocka runs the top deck record label Rocka-A-Shocka who released amazing Prince Buster re-issues (among many other things) from Japan and his selection is always without peer. He’s making another stop here on the westcoast after an earlier stop last year. Always entertaining and well worth any thing you have to do to see one of his stops.
The Revivers are doing a little mini-tour up the coast of California to promote their new EP release (ending at the next INTENSIFIED! event at The Grand Star on Sunday November 28 RSVP NOW). They won’t stop there though as they get ready to record all new material in early 2011 to keep the ball rolling with fresh cuts. Check the Revivers new website HERE and sign up for the email list to stay in touch with the band.
The Impalers are Nor Cal’s leading vintage ska and reggae act featuring an amazing collection of seasoned vets from the scene. They’ve released a few 45′s and a full length. This is a band not to mess with!
Topping it all off is LA’s own Rocksteady twins Nina y Viktor from the weekly Rocksteady Lounge who bring a powerful one 2 punch of classic and rare tunes.
Verdict? After the recent Mr. Symarip show and now this I may have to reconsider moving to the bay area if they keep this up.
More to come I’m sure!
