Pre-Order The London International Ska Fest 2011 Film/Book/Album Now

London International Ska Festival

The London International Ska Festival came and went. It was an amazing show over 4 days with artists I never thought I would see. I am still digging myself out for the trip but I am working up a review and pictures for everyone to see. Until then take this news as a sign of great things to come. Sean from Rockers Revolt, Pama International and The Loafers (who played the fest) and his team are currently working on putting together a trio of projects to commemorate the event with style. They have a CD/ digital/ vinyl album, a deluxe 200 page collector’s edition book and film/DVD of the weekend in the works.

Ken Booth @ LISFThe film will include the highlights from the festival performances plus backstage footage, artist interviews and even some unseen footage from the first ever London International Ska Festival held back in Dec 1988! It’s being directed by Michelle Golding, the lady behind the superb Specials’ 30th Anniversary documentary.

The book will be a numbered edition with plenty of images from all the performers. The album will be issued on CD/digital and ltd.edition/numbered/only 500 copies double LP in gatefold sleeve. Watch out for some film premieres/album release parties in LA, London, Copenhagen, Brighton and more being scheduled now.

Please support the festival by preordering the film, book & album here http://www.londoninternationalskafestival.co.uk/shop/ They also have have great merchandise to purchase from the festival including t-shirts, hoodies, mugs & posters.

I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
