New Trojan Singles for 2011

Trojan Records recently announced new releases in the limited edition vinyl issue series after sales of the first releases “exceeding all expectations”.

Releases include another double helping of Beverley’s Rock Steady with the previously unissued ‘Dancing Time’ by Desmond Dekker & the Aces backed by Roland Alphonso & the Beverley’s All Stars’ ‘Beverley’s Special’ (aka ‘Nothing For Nothing’), a Studio One produced release by Aces’ vocalist, Barrington Howard (aka Al Barry) in 1970 including ‘Down We Go’ and ‘Treat Me Good’ and two Leslie Kong produced recordings: a sublime late Rock Steady reworking of Don Convay’s ‘Mercy Mercy’ by Derrick Morgan & Desmond Dekker and the Pioneers’ Skinhead favourite, ‘Easy Come, Easy Go’! How’s that for new stuff?
