Merry Christmas Spirit Of ’69

Side One Dummy will never be knocked for not thinking outside the box. They have an amazingly diverse line-up of artists. Now comes a holiday themed offering. Nathen Maxwell of Flogging Molly has a side project of his own called The Original Bunny Gang. They released a new 7″ record called “L.A. X-mas” – a tribute to Los Angeles at Christmas time – which is a fine tune. The flip side is the real treat for the vintage reggae set though as Jesse and Jeff of the Aggrolites have recorded and released their own christmas song! Titled “Christmas Spirit of ’69”, it’s a funny holiday themed ode to all things skinhead – a right merry little booted and suited classic in the making.

You can order the new record at the Side One Dummy sire here and get great deals on all of their other releases – $5.50 SALE – to boot!

There’s also a little video for the song with some really great and funny illustrations. So sit back with your xmas goodies and get warmed by the sounds of The North Pole United!

I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
