Legends of Ska Film/ DVD Starts New Kickstarter Campaign

Legends of Ska poster

Earlier this year Brad Klein the man behind the legendary Legends of Ska film tired to get the project kickstarted with crowd-sourced funding platform Kickstarter. He set the bar pretty high though – $50,000 in a month which was pretty unrealistic. What it did do was show him the potential of the project which he has tried over a nearly a decade now to see completed. Nearly 4000 fans liked the first trailer and the worldwide Ska & Reggae community got a taste of what could be. The excitement, feedback and press he got out of the first go round convinced him to give it another shot. So check out this new campaign and give it another chance to succeed.

“Legends of Ska: Welcome to the House of Joy is a documentary film focusing on the sights & sounds of Jamaica during the early 1960s. As the precursor to Reggae, Ska is a mix of Jazz, R&B, and many other styles of music, which continued to make a huge impact far from the island’s shores.” is a documentary film focusing on the sights & sounds of Jamaica during the early 1960s. I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
