Jimmy Cliff In Morocco Fest Video

Jimmy Cliff in MoroccoJimmy Cliff performed in Morocco at the Festival Mawazine a few weeks ago. A youtube user was nice enough to upload most of his set in 6 parts which I’ve collected into a playlist so you can watch the whole thing without having to search for the other parts. No need to thank me. Just enjoy this video featuring the legend being backed by Scott Abels on Drums and members of Rhygin Rocker’s label recording artist Sandollar Sound including Dan Boar on keys with Zac Pike and Jubal Molitor.

He starts with “I Cam See Clearly Now” then into a cover of Rancid’s “Ruby Soho”. What a way to open a show. The video is professionally shot and you can clearly see members of the band and the crowd going wild with excitement as he performs. It gets a little strange when he introduces a couple of Ska numbers doing an arm swinging stomp to the mic then growling into it but then he goes right into a “King of Kings”/ “Miss Jamaica” mash-up that sounds outstanding with the full band.
