Hear & See The Champions Inc. Make Music Right
The Champions Inc. are working hard right out of the gate to establish themselves as a serious source of musical mayhem. They’ve already done some dates around Southern California as well as their home in the north and got some songs recorded that should make you smile. Take a minute to sample the tracks below.

They recently came down to play the The Grand Star with Very Be Careful for the INTENSIFIED! club. I had booked em that night without having seen em play but had heard good things about em. I was very impressed to say the least. The sound was energetic more in tone with earlier late 80′s 90′s bands than I had seen in awhile. That’s good! We need a kick in the pants – wake up the slumbering giant that is real live music. Just seems that there is a lackluster appreciation for music in the scene right now. Live stuff anyway. There are some good shows of course but not really a passion I feel. Well these cats can play. Their sound was rooted in that early Reggae beat that we like but with an energy more like The Specials (but not as much of course!). It reminded me of Let’s Go Bowling who I think can run rings around most modern day bands trying to play that certain style. So was really surprised and looking forward to seeing em again. Check out photos from the show below.
The band has some upcoming dates including Saturday November 19th for an Official Moondust Records Listening Party hosted by The Gilman Ska Night with The Impalers (who have a new release coming out) and The Titan-Ups. Gilman is located at 924 Gilman St. Berkeley, CA 94710 and is an all ages venue. Check out 924gilman.org. You can RSVP to the event here.
Check out this gallery of shots from Old HC Dude from their performance at The Grand Star for INTENSIFIED! in Sept. Great photos once again from the master of disaster monkey with a camera.
