Four New Caltone 45’s on Pressure Sounds Coming in Sept.

Pressure Sounds have announced they will re-issue four seven inches of Caltone related Phil Pratt Rocksteady productions next month. These were all previously issued on their CD Safe Travel: The Rare Side Of Rocksteady back in 2005. There are some choice titles here including Horace Andy’s first ever recording, Black Man’s Country as Horace Hinds and Bigger Things, the scorching horns cut of the classic Little Things by Hemsley Morris.

They have promised these will come with reproduction Caltone labels and custom sleeves. Previous seven inch issues from Pressure Sounds have been in great quality ultra heavy duty vinyl and it’s likely these will be the same.

Side A: Black Mans Country – Horace Hinds
Side B: Time Is getting Harder – Peter Austin

Side A: Little Things – Hemsley Morris & Phil Pratt
Side B: Bigger Things – Tommy McCook
