Dub Club meets Bluebeat Lounge Wed Apr 30

Dub Club Meets Bluebeat LoungeEver since The Bluebeat Lounge and then the Knitting Factory closed on Hollywood Blvd. it’s been a little less exciting for the Ska mostly. While other clubs have sprung up to fill the void nothing has come close the the weekly joy of hanging out with some friends listening to some Ska bands with Chris Murray more or less leading the night.

Every once in awhile though (now a full year since the last one!) he gets some bands together and along with The Dub Club (the weekly Reggae massive gathering) present a two floor mash-up and try to bring a little of that magic back.

So as announced just yesterday on Wednesday April 30 it’s time to break out your suit and get down to the Echo for some more great music. Upstairs in The Echo it’s Bluebeat Lounge with the Steadyrock Easy Groove convention featuring Chris Murray, The Delirians, The Steady 45’s, Pachamama, Joe Q and The Review, Scarlett and The Fever. All of those bands are centered around Joe Q (Delirians) & friends’ studio the Steadyrock Easy Groove Factory which has been pumping out some of the hottest new jams on the street. It’s basically like a label showcase of all the talent that’s working together to produce some very exciting new music.

Just check out this tune

The Steady 45’s

As always in The Echoplex it’s Dub Club with DJs Tom Chasteen and Boss Harmony MCs Jah Faith , Ras Benji, MC ChiCho and MC Woes.
