Bluebeat Lounge Rides Again Sept 7

The Bluebeat Lounge held down Tuesday nights and then Wednesday’s in LA for 6 years. Hosted by Chris Murray and musical guests galore every week at the Knitting Factory it was a place of Ska goodness. Since the factory closed it’s doors and Chris has been busy touring there has not been a regular place for all ages events period. Few and far between at least but Tom and The Dub Club crew have provided a few nights harking back to those times. Another one of those times is set for Wednesday September 7th at the Ex-Plex compound.

The outstanding Chris Murray Combo will headline this night along with LA’s Roots Reggae hitmakers The Expanders and new-comers The Hashishans. Regular Dub Club selecter Boss Harmony will hold court over the tables with fellow vinyl junkie Jim “Bigger Boss” Fox while the regular Dub Club Echodelic Crew Tom Chasteen, Dungeonmaster and Roy Corduroy run the riddim downstairs with Jah Faith and special guests on the mic.

I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
