This Sunday I return to the tables of Intensified with some choice cuts. Been out for a couple of months and I’m bringing some old friends with me Nina y Viktor & Marv Mack. Oh yeah and the Bullets are playing too. You may have heard about them right. So click the link [...] There’s a new event about to take off from Chinatown in a couple of weeks. Intensified! Rockin’ The Steady Beat brings the traditional ska and reggae back to Chinatown (anyone remember Hong Kong Cafe?). Steadybeat Recordings was the top of the pops back in the 90’s LA traditional scene and the man at the controls, King [...] “Boom Shacka Lacka” is a classic track and massive hit for Hopeton Lewis of course and one of my personal favorites. The flip side of the Duke Reid UK (DR 2505) release is a sweet instrumental version “Dynamite” credite to Tommy McCook. It’s also a monthly dance party in London’s Soho!
