It’s a double feature screening with Perry’s until recently thought to be lost follow-up “No Place Like Home”. It’s also a celebration of the star of the film, Jimmy Cliff, and [...] (Picture from the Vice Article) Be sure to pick up the new issue of Vice Magazine (if you can) which I think has run an outstanding in-depth article with Theodoros Bafaloukos, writer and director of that wonderful little film called Rockers, “the film that single-handedly made Jamaica and reggae interesting to couch-cozy white folks, their stoner [...] This is Ska! and that’s no understatement. This video (embedded in 4 parts below) was originally released in 1989 and contains some of the most amazing footage of Ska at it’s mind-blowing detonation on the international stage. There has been no official DVD re-release of this video but tapes of this are available via ebay [...] I’m sure regular reggae-philes and regular readers of this blog are well aware of the famed Jamaican outlaw Ivanhoe ‘Rhygin’ Martin.
