A Bob Marley Pinball Machine

Ever wanted to listen to Reggae and lose an afternoon playing an old school pinball machine? Yeah me too. In fact I once found a Gilligan’s Island pinball machine in a Mexican taco shop and wasted the rest of the day dropping quarters into it and eating tacos. See the show was one of my favorites when I was a kid and here was a pinball machine branded with images from the show that I wasted hours of my youth on – in a random place where I can also eat one of my favorite foods – tacos!

So one day I’m walking around a little downtown area where a “record shop” is that I have yet to visit. It’s a record shop in the sense that it has records – actual records in fact – but mainly dvd’s, branded shirts, cd’s etc.

I figured hell I got time let’s finally check it out. I walk in and what do I find in the back under a couple of boxes of 45’s stacked on top of it next to some bins of LP’s but a BOB MARLEY PINBALL MACHINE! Crazy right. It didn’t work but it looked real nice – official even – not a cheap knockoff.

It sure would be the conversation piece in any Pimper’s Paradise.

I've been involved in the Los Angeles music scene since at least 1995 going to shows, promoting, spinning records and running labels. Ska and Early Reggae are my passion among other things of course.
